LEGO designer tweaked ‘mandatory’ modular building feature after fan feedback on Jazz Club
‘The most important place’ in any modular has been improved upon for the upcoming LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner, thanks to fan feedback.
LEGO designer François Zapf took lessons from earlier modular buildings when designing an all-important feature for 10350 Tudor Corner, one that’s perhaps even more important to the LEGO community than the intricate design of the Tudor-accurate roof.
“The bathroom – the most important place in the modular, with the mandatory toilets,” joked François as his tour for Zusammengebaut came to 10350 Tudor Corner’s WC, tucked away under the stairs. “We heard the feedback from 10312 Jazz Club and the fact that the toilets were under the staircase and, once you build it, you can’t look at it.”
In 10350 Tudor Corner, as François demonstrates in the video and as you can see in the images below, the stairs lift away to allow access to the bathroom. “Because people really like to look at toilet seats,” reasoned François in an understandably confused tone.

The LEGO Group and its fan community have a surprisingly long and storied history with toilets, after a LEGO designer had to weigh in on the Great Toilet Paper or Towel Debate for LEGO Ideas 21338 A-Frame Cabin, fans being both delighted and disgusted by the first flushing toilet, and the LEGO Group’s very first buildable dung.
