The latest LEGO Discovery Center to open in the United States is now officially welcoming members of the public.

LEGO Discovery Center Washington, DC is the latest one of its kind to open, staffed by a team of playmakers and Master Model Builders, led by Andrew Litterst. To mark the grand opening, the LEGO Discovery Center held a ribbon-cutting event with vairous members of the local community, including a parade featuring the local Herndon High School drumline and a performance by the Dance Academy of Loudoun, followed by remarks from members of the LEGO Discovery Center team and other local stakeholders.

Between August 10 and 13, local members of the community and their children were among the first to experience the new immersive attraction during the First To Play Days, before the Center opens up fully to the public from August 14 onwards.

“The entire LEGO Discovery Center Washington, D.C. team could not be more thrilled to be opening our doors and finally welcoming families to experience this interactive world of LEGO fun,” said Therese Alvich, theGeneral Manager of the LEGO Discovery Center Washington. “Children will be able to let their imagination run wild and flex their creativity in each of our unique zones. The new attraction is a must-visit for families with children ages 2 through 10.”
