Enter the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – with a smattering of Fantastic Beasts – as Brick Fanatics celebrates all things magical with a new series of vignettes showcasing the LEGO Collectible Minifigures
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has returned to the realm of the LEGO brick, covering the classic stories as well the new Fantastic Beasts films. More characters than ever before have been realised thanks to the 22 LEGO Collectible Minifigures available. It is these that are showcased in these new vignettes from Brick Fanatics.
I always had a thing for antiheroes and that is exactly what Credence Barebone is in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. On top of that, I admire the actor Ezra Miller for being bold enough to openly come out as queer, so I dedicate my little vignette to him.
The scene that I built is the one that leads to the third act of the movie, in which Credence shows his real self (also some kind of coming out). I like the setting with the old brick walls that he destroys so easily.
I used this brick wall technique before in other MOCs and it is eminently suitable for the small space and the destruction that has taken place. The combination of tiles and plates and the use of dark red with reddish brown create the perfect texture. The demolished sub ceiling wasn’t visible in the shot, but I thought it would be a perfect complement to the wrecked building and adds more visual depth to the vignette.
