LEGO Harry Potter looks set to reboot Hogwarts Castle once more in 2024 with a familiar colour scheme mixed with landscaping.
Over the lengthy lifespan of LEGO Harry Potter, we've seen a few distinct takes on Hogwarts Castle. Outside of the singular sets dedicated to the school, the multi-model iterations of the castle can be easily identified by the colour of their roofs.
Now, the reveal of two LEGO Harry Potter 2024 sets suggests that we may be about to receive another depiction of the castle over a myriad of models. These models include
2021's take on the castle has green roofs and a modular system that allows you to mix and match parts of the castle including underground areas while the 2018 Hogwarts Castle system utilised grey roofs and only featured the surface level of the castle and above with light landscaping or none at all.
The two 2024 sets feature grey roofs, so they should mix well with the original LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts collection and are coincidentally locations that were not visited in the initial wave. However, both include more landscaping and rock elements than the entirety of the 2018 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle sets combined and will stand out considerably. That may mean that another Hogwarts reboot is coming.

Receiving the boathouse before the rest of Hogwarts Castle could be a genius move provided this is a new iteration. Similar to students, the first thing we may be seeing of a new LEGO Hogwarts Castle is the humble boathouse before seeing the rest of the grandiose structure with immersive landscaping to match these two models.
