LEGO Ideas' upcoming Twilight set could be launched at the perfect time for a franchise anniversary, as long as development starts relatively soon.
A Twilight set inspired by a project submitted by LobsterThermidor on LEGO Ideas is on the way and as long as the LEGO designers start transforming the submission into a set soon, there's a chance that it could be released in time for Twilight's 20th anniversary. Though the set is likely to be based on the movie franchise, just as the project is, 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the first Twilight book.
The first Twilight book, which inspired the first movie, was published on October 5, 2005. An October release date in 2025 would be the ideal launch time for this upcoming LEGO Ideas model.
Based on how long it has taken previous LEGO Ideas projects to be transformed into sets (around a year or more), an October 2025 launch is feasible and it would be a great opportunity for the theme to capitalise on nostalgia. Given Twilight's genre and supernatural connections, October could be the most appropriate time of year for the LEGO set too tying into Halloween.
At the time of writing, nothing more has been confirmed for the LEGO Ideas Twilight set other than the fact that it is on the way as one of two approved projects from the first 2023 LEGO Ideas review.
