LEGO Ideas review results is bad news for three submissions

The results of the second 2025 LEGO Ideas review spell bad news for three specific projects in the third 2025 round, thanks to unfortunate luck.

Four LEGO Ideas projects have been approved for sets as part of the second 2025 review results, including models inspired by Edward Scissorhands and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. As much as it’s an exciting day for the fan designers of these submissions, three in the third 2025 review aren’t going to be quite as pleased.

Read on to see how this approval is bad news for three of the 75 projects in the third 2025 review, and what other submissions in that round probably won’t be approved.

Impacted by the second 2025 review results

Edward Scissorhands Castle by Delusion Brick, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Complete Griswold House by StephOCO and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Full House Version by MadamEnthusiasticJay likely have no chance in the third 2025 review. All three depict the precise locations covered in the projects that have just been approved. We’ve seen similar situations before on LEGO Ideas, and the LEGO Group has never approved multiple models based on the same thing.

Impacted by earlier results and reveals

Both Ramen Noodles by GummyBrickss and KPop Demon Hunters by TrumanBricks are also unlikely to be picked for a model in the third 2025 review results. The ramen submission is nearly identical to a project which was approved a while ago, and a full KPop Demon Hunters theme is on the way. Whether it will include minifigures has yet to be confirmed, but there likely isn’t a need for a standalone LEGO Ideas set, as well.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
