LEGO Inside Tour attendees had the chance to win LEGO Gringotts Trophy

Attendees of the latest LEGO Inside Tour met with LEGO Harry Potter designers and had the chance to win a unique LEGO Gringotts trophy.

The LEGO Inside Tour happens a few times a year and sees people from around the world welcomed to Billund to tour the LEGO HQ. This year on the most recent trip that took place between August 30 to September 1, LEGO Harry Potter designer George Gilliatt has shared on Instagram that he has been part of hosting the visitors. The itinerary has included a behind-the-scenes look at LEGO HQ and a talk from the designers behind 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition.

“We’ve been having a blast hosting the LEGO Inside Tour the past two days!” he wrote on Instagram. “Guests from all over the world have come to Billund to see behind the scenes at the LEGO Group Headquarters and listen to a talk from us about designing Gringotts Bank.”

Not only that, but the attendees also had the chance to take part in a building challenge, the winner of which would win a unique LEGO Gringotts Trophy. The brick-built trophy follows the same structure as 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition but on a microfigure scale. There’s still an impressive amount of detail, such as a dragon breathing fire on the top of the building and a minecart tunnelling its way down below the bank.

Plus, it looks like the trophy build includes a unique ‘LEGO Inside Tour’ plaque, affixed to the display base of the Gringotts-themed build. This is just one of the exclusive takeaways that are often available to those who attend the LEGO Inside Tour. In the past, other builds have been made available, such as the brick-built replica of a 1940’s firetruck that’s 2023’s exclusive gift.

Although all the LEGO Inside Tours for 2023 are now sold out, keep an eye on Brick Fanatics and the LEGO House website for details of the 2024 events. For now, you can take home a much larger version of the Gringotts Trophy with 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition, out now and retailing for £369.99 / $429.99 / €429.99. The LEGO Group is also celebrating Back to Hogwarts in style, with not one but two GWPs and a dedicated 20% off sale on selected sets, plus much more.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
