LEGO Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts 2023 details confirmed

The LEGO Group has confirmed the full roster of sales, deals and freebies up for grabs during the LEGO Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts event, which kicks off later this week.

Potentially to Harry Potter what Star Wars is to May the 4th, the Back to Hogwarts event marks the start of the new school year in the Wizarding World on September 1. As well as two gifts-with-purchase available for the duration of the event (or while stocks last), you’ll be able to score discounts on current sets, build and take home a free model from LEGO Stores, and even meet the designers behind the new Gringotts bank.

Check out everything going on for the Back to Hogwarts 2023 event below.

Three new LEGO Harry Potter sets

A trio of new LEGO Harry Potter sets will be available from September 1, headlined by 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. The 75978 Diagon Alley add-on is a towering build that sits atop underground vaults, and comes complete with the Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon and 13 minifigures. LEGO Insiders get early access through September 4, while both 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds and 76418 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar launch for everyone on Friday.

Two LEGO Harry Potter GWPs

A duo of LEGO Harry Potter gifts-with-purchase will be up for grabs from September 1, including 30651 Quidditch Practice and 40598 Gringotts Vault, the latter of which is designed to connect to 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. The good news is that you won’t need to buy that enormous D2C to get your hands on its companion GWP, so you can still add 40598 to your collection even if you don’t have the funds for the full Gringotts experience right now. Both 40598 Gringotts Vault and 30651 Quidditch Practice stack, too, so you can grab two freebies for the price of one.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
