LEGO Jurassic Park sets rumoured for franchise’s 30th anniversary

With the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park coming up next year, rumours are flying for potential celebratory LEGO sets.

Universal Products and Experiences President Vince Klaseus already confirmed that the LEGO Jurassic World theme will continue in 2023, but now we could have more information about those promised sets. According to rumours spotted by 1414falconfan on Instagram, there could be as many as five sets, all scheduled for a June 2023 release.

There are also approximate prices for all five sets, as well as rumoured set numbers and names. Here’s a rundown of each rumour.

Set nameApproximate PricePotential Release Date
76957 The Velociraptor Escape~$35June 2023
76958 The Dilophosaurus Ambush~$20June 2023
76959 The Search for the Triceratops~$50June 2023
76960 The Discovery of the Brachiosaurus~$80June 2023
76961 Visitor Centre: Attack of the T-Rex (18+)~$120June 2023

Based on this information, it seems likely that the sets will be linked to the original Jurassic Park films, rather than Jurassic World exclusively. While 76957 The Velociraptor Escape seems to be more closely tied to the Jurassic World films, which centre around Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and his relationship with raptors, 76961 Visitor Centre: Attack of the T-Rex could well be attached to the climactic scene from Jurassic Park.

Of course, we’ll need to take these rumours with a pinch of salt until we get confirmation from the LEGO Group. If and when we do, it will be easier to see which films these sets are linked to.
