LEGO Super Mario 72037 Mario & Standard Kart officially revealed

The LEGO Group has officially revealed an 18+ LEGO Mario Kart set, 72037 Mario & Standard Kart, bringing an icon from the video game to brick-built life.

Fittingly revealed on Mario Day, we’ve got our first official look at 72037 Mario & Standard Kart, a 1,972-piece build of Mario sitting in his popular Standard Kart from Mario Kart. Geared towards display, the LEGO Super Mario set is due for release on May 15 and available to pre-order now for £149.99 in the UK, $169.99 in the US, and €169.99 in Europe.

The brick-built Mario figure is posable, with a movable head and arms, so you can have Mario with his hands on the wheel, waving, or doing his signature fist pump for winning a race. There’s also a stand included in the set so that you can pose the Kart at dramatic angles, mimicking its movements in the game.

Measuring 32cm long, 19cm wide, and 22cm high, 72037 Mario & Standard Kart is a sizable display piece that will certainly catch the eye and appears to include some new printed elements for Mario’s cap and eyes.
