LEGO NINJAGO 40703 Micro NINJAGO City on LEGO.com

The upcoming LEGO 40703 Micro NINJAGO City has surfaced on the official online store, confirming its status as a future gift-with-purchase.

40703 Micro NINJAGO City is now live on LEGO.com, valued at £14.99 with 339 pieces. It features a miniature version of 70620 NINJAGO City and its accompanying boat using two pieces. The artwork for the original The LEGO NINJAGO Movie boxes also returns to complete the authentic depiction.

The listing confirms that the set will be a gift-with-purchase and likely not a LEGO Insiders reward as some may have expected. This set was initially revealed earlier this year after reportedly being found on shelves in China.

While we have previously compared the collection of four LEGO Micro NINJAGO City sets to the Houses of the World models, those sets were valued at £17.99 instead of the NINJAGO set’s £14.99. It may be that 40703 Micro NINJAGO City is available at a lower price threshold than we predicted because of this £3 difference. One of the four Houses of the World sets was added to orders of £220 / $250 / €250 or more, depending on the time of year.

Compared to the full-sized and retired 70620 NINJAGO City, the small model captures the most important details in an eight-stud by eight-stud space, downscaling from the 32-stud baseplate featured in the bigger build.

While we wait for more details to be revealed, including how we’ll be able to pick up this first Micro NINJAGO City set, you can take a look at what the rest of the range could look like by clicking here.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
