LEGO rumour source teases Exo-Force return

A return to Exo-Force could be coming as a new tease from frequent a LEGO rumour source suggests that the theme may be in our future.

Instagram user maxbautde has shared an image of 7700 Stealth Hunter on their Instagram story (available to view at the time of writing) with a caption that suggests that we may see more of the theme soon.

The 2006 theme ended in 2008 after 39 mech-centric sets but mechs have remained a consistent part of various LEGO themes ever since. Still, the anime-inspired style of its minifigures isn’t like those from any other theme to date and a return to LEGO Exo-Force could be a chance to bring at least one of these unique minifigures back.

While this could be a tease for something similar to LEGO BIONICLE’s 40581 BIONICLE Tahu and Takua gift-with-purchase, it may also be a tease for something else entirely.

Current rumours for LEGO NINJAGO include a massive mech for Cole in the form of 71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech and this teaser may be referring to more details coming soon on that rumoured model. It could also be that the Instagram user is hoping to pick up this set on the secondary market soon – either way, nothing has been officially confirmed. For now, take this tease with caution in case it’s not a sign of the return of Exo-Force that you may be hoping for.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
