Fresh LEGO Speed Champions 2024 set rumours race into view

Following new details of two rumoured LEGO Speed Champions for summer 2024 comes a fresh report regarding even more potential racers.

It looks as if the first half of this year could well prove to be bit of a wallet-buster for fans of the LEGO Speed Champions theme, with at least seven new sets confirmed and rumoured to be arriving in the next six months. Some of those models remain pure speculation for now though and there’s been no official word from the LEGO Group so far to confirm their existence.

We reported on additional details regarding 76923 Lamborghini V12 Vision GT and 76925 Aston Martin Safety Car & AMR23 earlier today, with the two rumoured models said to be racing online and into stores in June 2024.

Joining those two vehicles this year may be even more LEGO Speed Champions cars though, if the latest rumours are to be believed. Polish fan sites Fanklockow and KlockiNews have revealed new information regarding 76919 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car and 76294 Mercedes AMG GT Roadster 2024 & AMG G 63, with both builds said to be arriving in the coming months, as well as first details regarding 30683 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car.

76919 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is reported to include 245 pieces and retail for 129.00 PLN (£25) in March, with the fan site stating the LEGO Speed Champions set will be apparently be based on an updated version of 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. The model is said to be very detailed, with printed rims (including the Google Chrome logo) and prints on the tyres.

There’s also 30683 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car, said to be a polybag that will include just one vehicle, with a design based once again on 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. The report states the set may arrive in March, priced at 17.99 PLN (£4).

Those vehicles could be joined in June by 76294 Mercedes AMG GT Roadster 2024 & AMG G 63, a double pack of licensed cars for 239.99 PLN (£45). The LEGO Speed Champions set might include 806 elements to construct both racers, with the high piece count potentially hinting at an additional build arriving as part of the model.

Rounding off the latest rumours are two LEGO Speed Champions sets supposedly launching sometime in August 2024, although we currently only have the product numbers 76234 and 76235 to go on. These don’t follow the sequence of the rest of the 2024 sets, so it’s possible that they may actually be numbered 76934 and 76935 – or the LEGO Group could be trying to distinguish them from the rest of its racers.

There’s also no way of knowing at this stage which licensed cars those rumoured builds may be based on, but the report does mention they might retail for 129.00 PLN (£25) each. As usual, do treat all of these LEGO Speed Champions rumours with a healthy pinch of salt for now, until such time as you hear otherwise.
