More details on rumoured LEGO Speed Champions summer 2024 sets

The contents of two of this summer’s rumoured LEGO Speed Champions sets have surfaced online, pointing to a year focused firmly on Formula 1.

A total of seven different LEGO Speed Champions sets are believed to be on the way in 2024. Three of those are already confirmed for release in March, while a fourth as-yet-unrevealed set is rumoured to be joining them in 76919 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. (A reveal for that one could be right around the corner.) Another trio are then said to be on the way in June.

For a while, all we had to go on with those sets was their respective licence partners, which are thought to be Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Mercedes. But Instagram user exabrickslegogo_ has now shared details on precisely which cars will be included in two of those three sets – and it sounds like we’re in store for a great year for F1 fans.

76923 Lamborghini V12 Vision GT

LEGO Speed Champions’ second concept car pulled straight from the virtual grids of Gran Turismo (following 2023’s McLaren Solus GT), 76923 Lamborghini V12 Vision GT is said to recreate the futuristic racer revealed at the Gran Turismo Championship World Finals in 2019. With shades of the Sián FKP 37’s Y-shaped headlights and the same hybridised V12 engine inside, the extreme proportions of this single-seater car are potentially very well-suited to LEGO bricks.

76925 Aston Martin Safety Car & AMR23

Price: $49.99 Pieces: 564 Release date: June 2024

Rev your engines, Formula 1 fans: 76925 Aston Martin Safety Car & AMR23 is what you’ve been waiting for. Hopefully, anyway. This double-pack is thought to include both Aston Martin’s 2023 racer and its Vantage safety car, which will hopefully mean getting a pair of teal LEGO Speed Champions cars for the first time. Those would look very nice on the shelf next to the current portfolio, which is dominated by red, white and grey cars (until the dark blue 76920 Ford Mustang Dark Horse debuts in March, anyway).
