LEGO Speed Champions Formula 1 set rumoured for 2024

The last of the LEGO Speed Champions sets rumoured for release in early 2024 so far may well be based on a rare Formula 1 car.

Instagram user exabrickslego_go reports the mysterious 76919 from the previous LEGO Speed Champions rumours may well be a McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. This would follow the massive LEGO Technic model, 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car, though exactly which version of the team’s Formula 1 car the rumoured LEGO Speed Champions set could be based on has not been mentioned. It’s worth noting this is purely a rumour for now and none of this information is confirmed so far.

Provided this report is accurate, the biggest difference between the LEGO Technic and Speed Champions builds would be their size, as 76919 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is rumoured to be $26.99 for 245 pieces, likely coming in at minifigure-scale as with every other LEGO Speed Champions set.

Formula 1 LEGO Speed Champions sets are rare after a major wave at the start of the theme and half of a 2022 set – 76909 Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance & Mercedes-AMG Project One.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
