LEGO Star Trek rumour – community says ‘make it so’
It’s been a day since the update to the LEGO Star Trek rumour but one thing is clear in the communities – the LEGO Group needs to make it so.
Just as Captain Jean-Luc Picard says more than 50 times in Star Trek: The Next Generation, both the LEGO and Star Trek communities are eager for the LEGO Group to make it so when it comes to the rumoured LEGO Star Trek 10356 USS Enterprise D. At the time of writing, this model is only rumoured and should be treated with caution, but that hasn’t stopped fans online from getting especially excited.
It’s common for LEGO and non-LEGO fans across the internet to be eager when it comes to various rumoured LEGO sets. There are notably more enthusiasts excited about this rumour than usual online though, demonstrating the strength of the Star Trek franchise and its community. Some, including Evan Schultheis, have even gone as far as to detail a full LEGO Star Trek theme when only a single set is rumoured at the time of writing.
There’s undoubtedly a lot of potential for a LEGO Star Trek theme, as confusing as it might be some with LEGO Star Wars on shelves for more than 25 years. Still, remember that the 3,600-piece 10356 USS Enterprise D is all that’s rumoured right now and it’s far from confirmed.
Given that 10356 USS Enterprise D is said to be a Black Friday 2025 release, a gift-with-purchase may at least accompany it as we saw with 76269 Avengers Tower and 10335 The Endurance. Many are hoping that this would just be the start of LEGO Star Trek though, and it’s not hard to see why – even from the LEGO Group’s perspective. Others, including bisexualucanis, are similarly optimistic for more LEGO Star Trek representation in the future in light of this rumour.
“If The LEGO Group get into the Star Trek starship game, then they’ll basically be printing money for themselves” shared rcs799 on the Star Trek Reddit, positing that the LEGO Group’s other option for future Star Trek models is to depict only the franchise’s massive starships. This would do well to follow the same strategy as the recent The Lord of the Rings models, with an annual release schedule.
Responding to the rumour, James Breakwell on X found a fellow Star Trek enthusiast in their wife and should the report be accurate, it may be easier to convince themselves to get 10356 USS Enterprise D to build as a couple.
“Seems like a strange minifig assortment,” Commented jonspangler, following up with more questions. “I’m sure the set will open up and have a detailed bridge so I get the mainstay cast members and we should have them. Guinan? Would they put Ten-Forward in there and have it be playable? Spot? So we will have some really small crew quarters? 3600 pieces go fast and I bet some of those will go towards a stand and a shuttlecraft.”
As intriguing as the LEGO Star Trek rumour alone is, it has paired perfectly with another recent rumour for UptownRoamer on X who may have an incredibly exciting year ahead.
It’s clear that both the LEGO and Star Trek communities are eager for the collaboration to happen as rumoured, but everyone should remember that this is only a rumour at the time of writing and it is to be taken with caution just in case. It may be more than a few months until we receive any official announcement or tease given the rumoured Black Friday release anyway. Click here for a reminder of what else is rumoured for this year.

Meanwhile, I built DS9, two Enterprise, the Danube class shuttle and a Christmas set of 24 smaller pieces from Bluebrixx from a discounted Black Friday offer.
I’m afraid a LEGO colab will be just expensive but gives nothing new.
Dear Lego,
Engage! Maximum warp!!
I haven’t played with lego since I was a child, but I’d drop $$$$ on a massive Enterprise D set ASAP!! I found this site by search for more info on it when I saw it mentioned on Reddit.
I am a 55 year old grandfather and I am in tears. Please make it so Lego!!! Please!
This is mind-blowing. I can’t wait. This is gonna sell like crazy and I hope more is on the way.
WTF took so long? OMG! I’ve emailed Lego every other day begging for some Star Trek. This is unreal and I’m so excited!
