LEGO Star Wars 30685 TIE Interceptor polybag revealed

A new LEGO Star Wars polybag has been revealed, linking to the latest Ultimate Collector Series set that was unveiled earlier today.

German retailer JB Spielwaren has revealed the 30685 TIE Interceptor polybag, joining the upcoming LEGO Star Wars 75382 TIE Interceptor on shelves next month. The retailer states that the polybag is launching on April 30, though this may be a pre-emptive listing as a May 1 release date is more plausible.

This is only the second LEGO Star Wars polybag depicting a TIE Interceptor after 6965 TIE Interceptor 20 years ago. There have been many microscale models of this starfighter tho and this model closely resembles that of 9676 TIE Interceptor & Death Star.

There have been some slight changes to the design including switching the square plate on top for a circular plate, better capturing the spherical shape of the ship.

While some retailers may be stocking 30685 TIE Interceptor next month, polybags are sometimes reserved for deals on the official online store and May the 4th is right around the corner. Another polybag has already been confirmed for this year’s event. Still, it would be great for this set to be accessible to accompany 75382 TIE Interceptor next month.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
