Brand new flagship LEGO sets have a habit of selling out on day one, and while the LEGO Group has begun to get a handle on its inventory in recent months, there are still some sets that are proving incredibly difficult to come by. 10294 Titanic has barely spent a day in stock since launching last November, and we’re still waiting on 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine to come back (to the future).

It’s difficult to say which way 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder will go: the latest UCS set is based on an icon of Star Wars, and is a tempting way to grab all of this year’s free gifts, but it’s also a vehicle we’ve seen plenty of times before (albeit at different scales). It’ll be interesting to see whether it sells out, and if so, in which regions – 75313 AT-AT has been available all along in the UK, for instance, but did briefly sell out in the US at launch.

For more on 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder, check out our detailed review, learn how it almost resembled the 1999 version, and find out whether that brilliant C-3PO minifigure is likely to show up elsewhere. (Spoiler alert: it isn’t.)

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
