Fresh LEGO Super Mario 2025 rumours include another 18+ set
We might be able to add even more LEGO Super Mario sets to the list of upcoming 2025 models, if the latest rumours are to be trusted.
The LEGO Super Mario theme will be racing back in early 2025, with six sets launching on January 1 inspired by the hugely-popular Mario Kart series of video games. In addition, next year’s line-up of plumber-based models may also include a polybag and an 18+ release, as previously rumoured.
Now comes a fresh rumour from reliable Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat, with early details of seven additional models that might be landing online and in stores in 2025. First up is 72043 TBD Starter Set for $49.99 and a potential second new starter set in the shape of 72038, also said to be priced at $49.99.
On top of those two possible LEGO Super Mario models come 72039 at $99.99, 72040 for $14.99, 72041 costing $29.99 and 72042 which is said to be $99.99. No additional details have been forthcoming so far regarding the builds, so at this stage we won’t know if they’ll be more LEGO Mario Kart releases or something different altogether, but it’s possible we may see them later in the year.
Rounding out those rumoured sets for 2025 is 72046, which is reported to be yet another 18+ set, this time coming in at $69.99. If that proves to be true, next year would be the first time that two LEGO Super Mario models aimed at more mature builders will have been released.
Again, there’s no hint as to what the theme of the rumoured 18+ LEGO Super Mario set might be, but do treat all of the above information with a large pinch of salt for now.
