All LEGO Super Mario Donkey Kong sets revealed

As teased earlier in 2023 and revealed today, April 28, 2023, the full range of LEGO Super Mario Donkey Kong sets has been detailed.

From a minecart ride to a rhino, the upcoming wave of LEGO Super Mario sets brings the Kong family into the mix in the theme’s second spin-off range. Due to arrive on August 1, 2023, the full selection has now been revealed.

“The excitement continues to grow for the LEGO Super Mario franchise with yet another playful update,” said Simon Kent, Design Director at the LEGO Group. “We’re welcoming the iconic Donkey Kong into the LEGO Super Mario product line! We can’t wait to see how the four expansion sets inspire kids to discover the new wild and colourful jungle from the Donkey Kong universe, whether that’s hanging out in the tree house, riding a mine cart, jamming out with Dixie Kong or exploring with Rambi.”

71420 Rambi the Rhino

The smallest of the LEGO Donkey Kong models is 71420 Rambi the Rhino and there’s no prize for guessing who it includes. Mario can hop on Rambi’s back to knock over some boulders and it looks to be an inexpensive way to commemorate the character.

71421 Dixie Kong’s Jungle Jam

Price: £20.99 / $26.99 / €26.99 Pieces: 174 Release date: August 1, 2023

Dixie Kong and Squawks are featured in the musical 71421 Dixie Kong’s Jungle Jam with a stage for Mario to join the band with a guitar accessory. The stage is made up of turntables that can rotate.

71424 Donkey Kong’s Tree House

Price: £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99 Pieces: 555 Release date: August 1, 2023 (Pre-orders open from April 28, 2023)

As revealed earlier in the day, Donkey Kong and Cranky are included in 71424 Donkey Kong’s Tree House with the Kong’s home featured as the main build as well as a hammock and more inside.

71425 Diddy Kong’s Mine Cart Ride

Price: £94.99 / $109.99 / €104.99 Pieces: 1,157 Release date: August 1, 2023

The biggest of the builds is, of course, a minecart level. Donkey Kong’s games have become iconic for their creative and chaotic minecart levels and that seems to have been replicated here with Diddy and Funky included as well as the latter’s plane shop.
