One LEGO Technic set could be getting a recolour

Online rumours suggest that one LEGO Technic build could be accelerating onto shelves in a new colour.

According to online rumours reported by legomoleshow on Instagram, LEGO Technic 42151 Bugatti Bolide could receive a recolour. This would show up in the rumoured LEGO Technic 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue.

As the suspected name would suggest, this would feature the Bugatti in a bright blue colour, rather than the yellow seen in 42151.

This isn’t the first time that a set has been reimagined in a different colour for a new set. LEGO Icons 10271 Fiat 500 original yellow was replaced with a light blue in LEGO Icons Fiat 500. Clearly yellow to blue is a popular change at the LEGO Group.

There were very few differences between 10271 and 77942 aside from the colour, so if the same rules apply to the rumoured 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue, then we can likely expect to see a very similar build on its way to the LEGO Technic theme.

Of course, we won’t know for sure it’s on its way until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group, so take these reports with a pinch of salt for now.
