Live-action Lilo & Stitch Disney+ movie rumoured

A live-action Lilo & Stitch movie is rumoured to be on the way with Zach Galifianakis reportedly playing a lead character.

Lilo & Stitch is an animated franchise that debuted with a movie in 2002. Since then, the duo of a Hawaiian girl Lilo and alien experiment Stitch have gone on to star in four movies and one series with another two series featuring Stitch and other characters.

In 2018, The Hollywood Reporter first reported that a live-action adaption was on the way. Now, The Wrap reports that Zach Galifianakis will feature as Pleakley, one of the good-natured aliens that finds and helps Stitch. Deadline reports that the film is set for Disney+

Lilo & Stitch almost had a BrickHeadz set as the 150th figure in the theme, though a fan vote on LEGO Ideas saw users opt for Star Wars instead. However, Stitch has received a Collectible Minifigure with a second rumoured for later this year in another range of Disney minifigures.

LEGO sets based on Disney+ projects aren’t uncommon with another recently revealed for the Peter Pan & Wendy film and a live-action adaption of Lilo & Stitch could offer a second chance to fully debut the franchise in LEGO, beyond a single minifigure.
