Live-action Teen Titans movie in the works at DC Studios

A live-action Teen Titans movie is reported to be on the way from DC Studios, penned by someone already working on an upcoming DCU movie.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer Ana Nogueira is stated to be writing a live-action Teen Titans movie for DC Studios, reported by The Hollywood Reporter. This wouldn’t be the first theatrical Teen Titans movie as the 2018 Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, based on the animated Teen Titans Go! series has already claimed that title. It could still be the first live-action Teen Titans movie though.

The Teen Titans debuted in 1964 and have had many iterations including the live-action Titans series from 2018. Whether Ana Nogueira’s Teen Titans movie could be in the upcoming DCU or a standalone universe is not confirmed in the report. It seems likely that it will be in the DCU and debuting this team near to the start of the cinematic universe could make sense too.

Some of the team’s most iconic members include Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven and Cyborg though there have been many more members.

Thanks to Teen Titans Go!, LEGO Teen Titans have been available previously based on the show with stylised minifigures as part of LEGO Dimensions and in standard sets with uniform minifigure designs. 71026 DC Super Heroes Series also includes the only appearance of Bumblebee as a minifigure. She has a mini-doll in 41234 Bumblebee Helicopter too.

No release date for the reported Teen Titans movie has been confirmed at the time of writing. The first DCU movie is going to be Superman on July 11, 2025. Also announced recently was a notable delay for The Batman Part II.
