Take a closer look at LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower’s minifigures

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower includes a whopping 31 figures, but some of them may be more worthy of note than others.

The LEGO Group today pulled back the curtain on 76269 Avengers Tower, revealing a massive LEGO Marvel model that’s the largest set from the theme to date. Clocking in at 5,201 pieces and measuring over 90cm high, the heroic build sits on a 32×32-stud baseplate and is fully-compatible with previous LEGO Marvel modular buildings such as 76178 Daily Bugle and 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum.

In addition to the huge model itself, 76269 Avengers Tower also comes with a whopping 31 figures from across the length and breadth of the Infinity Saga. We say ‘figures,’ as the set actually includes 28 minifigures, one Hulk bigfig, one Ant-Man microfigure and a brick-built Dum-E.

While that’s still the most minifigures ever included with a LEGO Marvel model (beating out 76178 Daily Bugle’s 25 characters), only a handful appear to be all-new. From the official images we’ve seen so far, it looks as if we’ll be getting seven minifigures that have never been released before, while the rest of the set’s MCU cast is rounded out with existing characters and some partially reused elements.

New faces making their first appearance in 76269 Avengers Tower include the first-ever battle-damaged Iron Man Mark 6 and Ultron Mark 1, updated versions of The Wasp, Hawkeye, Falcon, Vision and even Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige.

Of these though, it’s possibly the new iteration of the Vision that might be the standout minifigure in the set. The last version of the Ultron-created synthezoid appeared in 71031 Marvel Studios, reflecting the character’s pale and ghostly look as seen in the Disney+ series, WandaVision.

However, the Vision minifigure that comes with 76269 Avengers Tower not only has a striking new head and torso printing but also appears to boast trans clear legs with printing on them and a stunning printed vinyl cape.

Another figure highlight in the LEGO Marvel set is an all-new Hulk bigfig whose head can be turned from side-to-side, a first for the gamma-irradiated brute and one that should open up more display options for the character.

You’ll be able to add all 31 figures to your collection when 76269 Avengers Tower launches on November 24 (Black Friday) for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99. LEGO Insiders who buy the set will also get a free companion LEGO Marvel Taxi gift-with-purchase, complete with Black Panther, a taxi driver and two Outrider minifigures.
