LEGO Rebuild the World video sees Mark Ronson demonstrate the creative process in

LEGO Rebuild the World continues to spotlight creativity and inspiration, with producer Mark Ronson talking about making music in this new video.

When the LEGO Rebuild the World marketing campaign launched in Billund, Denmark, music producer Mark Ronson was there to bring his take on creativity to the conversation. He has worked with some of the world’s most famous artists including Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Adele, Lily Allen, Bruno Mars and Miley Cyrus, and in this video provides a taste of what goes into creating music.

Rebuild the World is focusing on connecting LEGO building with creativity. This series of videos shows how different people are creative within their professions – recent examples include US Olympian Simone Biles and the Natural History Museum’s Dr Steen Dupont.

“Play is at the heart of anything creative, certainly at that jumping off point of inspiration,” Ronson says in the video. “There’s only 12 notes in a scale, every single order and arrangement has been done in 500 years of modern music. That is completely taking away the human and the spiritual aspect of it.” He goes on to demonstrate how a track comes together, starting with the beat and then adding the baseline.

Rebuild the World launched last month with an event at the LEGO House and a video introduction.
