Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi sequel gets promising update
A Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star has provided an update on the sequel as it appears to be progressing quietly.
Instagram user victoria_avalor has shared a screenshot from their Threads account questioning the status of a sequel to the 2021 movie where Simu Liu responded. The star has confirmed that a sequel is still coming, despite there being no updates on it since its announcement in December 2021.
It’s a promising update for the movie and the first film is reported to have grossed $432 million worldwide. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings also received a range of LEGO sets and minifigures and it seems plausible that a sequel would see at least one inspired by its story.
At the time of writing, no further details for the Shang-Chi sequel have been announced and it is likely a long time away from release. In the meantime, many LEGO Marvel models are rumoured for later this year and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is continuing this summer with Deadpool & Wolverine.
