Mystery LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure details revealed

New details have been revealed regarding the remaining mystery LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures, hinting as to who they might be.

It’s officially May the 4th, the day when fans around the world join together to celebrate their affection for all things Star Wars. The LEGO Group has been playing a big part in the annual event this week, marking the 25th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme with multiple new set releases, GWPs, Insiders rewards, a livestream, in-store activities and much more.

Earlier this year it was announced that six special edition LEGO Star Wars minifigures would be released to celebrate the theme’s birthday in 2024, with three characters revealed to date. So far we’ve seen Darth Malak, ARC Trooper Fives and Saw Gerrera appear in 25th anniversary sets, although a special Darth Maul minifigure in the updated LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary isn’t part of that line-up.

Despite various rumours floating around regarding exactly who the final three mystery minifigures might be, everything has now changed. The text on the LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary landing page has been updated to reveal that a total of seven minifigures will in fact be released this year, with subtle hints regarding who the final four might be.

All we’ve had to go on so far have been silhouettes of the minifigures, but text above each character has been added with a cryptic clue as to their identity. The first reads ‘Game face on’, which suggests the character may well be Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi video game series. Next is ‘Alderaan guesses,’ which would seem to point to a Young Leia minifigure on its way in 2024.

The final two mystery LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures are labelled as ‘No. 9, it’s time,’ that could be a hint to the recently revealed first ever Nien Nunb minifigure (the character was described during the production of Return of the Jedi as ‘Number Nine’) and ‘Oh so cute,’ a potential reference to R2-KT, a droid created to honour Katie Johnson, who tragically passed away from cancer in 2005.

There are no hints at this stage to suggest when and where any of the four remaining 25th anniversary minifigures may appear, although four new LEGO Star Wars sets due to arrive on June 1 were revealed this week.
