New casting confirmed for upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter movie
More details for the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter movie have been revealed, including a new casting confirmation for one of the villains.
Following the announcement of Star Wars: Starfighter featuring Ryan Gosling at Star Wars Celebration earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter states that Mia Goth has also been cast in the film, but as a villain to counter Ryan Gosling’s protagonist.
Mia Goth’s past work includes the trilogy of horror films, including X, Pearl, and MaXXXine, and she will also feature in the upcoming Frankenstein movie.
It’s believed that her role will see Goth’s character pursuing a young charge that Gosling’s character is trying to protect. The movie will take place five years after The Rise of Skywalker, but will not be directly connected to any previous characters or storylines.
Much like Gosling, Goth has never had a LEGO minifigure and assuming the new film receives at least one LEGO Star Wars set, it would likely feature her first minifigure.
Star Wars: Starfighter is currently scheduled to be released on May 31, 2027, and further details for the film are being kept under wraps at the time of writing. No LEGO Star Wars sets for the film have been confirmed either.
