LEGO BrickLink Series 5 mini-build winners revealed ahead of pre-orders

The winners of the latest LEGO BrickLink Designer Program mini-build competition have been revealed ahead of pre-orders for the Series 5 sets.

It’s almost time to crowdfund all five LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets, which have impressed in early reviews. Before tomorrow’s pre-orders open, while stocks last, the BrickLink team have revealed who has won the Series 5 mini-build contest.

The competition opened early last month, tasking fans with recreating the finalists in Series 5 using a maximum of 300 elements, and a footprint of eight studs or less in at least two directions. The winners have now been announced, and all five are going to win the actual sets their submission is based on, saving them some money when crowdfunding starts tomorrow.

The actual sets these models are based on will be going up for pre-order starting tomorrow, as usual, in limited quantities. The physical sets will then be produced according to how many have been sold and shipped out around October 2025.

Click here to prepare for tomorrow by reading about which sets are likely to sell out first. Here’s a quick guide to the finalists and how much they will cost.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
