The only other Star Wars show LEGO still has faith in just got delayed

Tired of The Mandalorian and Grogu? Bad news: the only other Star Wars show the LEGO Group seemingly has much faith in just got delayed.

Andor, The Bad Batch, Young Jedi Adventures and Skeleton Crew only received cursory nods from the LEGO Star Wars team, while The Acolyte and Maul: Shadow Lord have been passed over entirely (at least for now). In the grand pantheon of Star Wars Disney+ shows, that pretty much leaves The Mandalorian and Ahsoka as the LEGO Group’s chosen ones – and the second season of Ahsoka has now been pushed back to early 2027.

Rosario Dawson announced the release window for Ahsoka Season 2 during a Disney Upfront showcase, where attendees also got a first glimpse at behind-the-scenes footage for new episodes. “It’s truly special seeing all the love from fans out there for Ahsoka and her crew,” she said. “I can tell you this season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher. We cannot wait for you to see.”

The first season of Ahsoka has received six LEGO Star Wars sets so far, including a colourful September 2023 launch wave that consisted of three models: 75357 Ghost & Phantom II, 75362 Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle and 75364 New Republic E-wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter. 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea followed in summer 2024, while 75416 Chopper (C1-10P) and 75412 Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack debuted in 2025.

That’s the most of any Disney+ show besides The Mandalorian, and speaks to the faith the LEGO Group had in Ahsoka as a character ahead of her solo series’ first season. (Even the first Mando sets took a full year to arrive on shelves.) LEGO Star Wars sets based on Season 2 seem like a safe bet at this point – but we’re probably going to be waiting a little longer for them.

While the release window announcement isn’t being touted as a delay by Lucasfilm, showrunner Dave Filoni teased a 2026 debut for Season 2 at Star Wars Celebration Japan last year. Its 2027 premiere means we’re now looking at a gap of over three years between seasons. That’s plenty of time for the LEGO Group to fill with more Mandalorian and Grogu sets…

Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 will star Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Rory McCann, who replaces the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll. The only remaining Ahsoka LEGO Star Wars sets on shelves at the time of writing are 75412 Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack and 75416 Chopper (C1-10P).

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
