Pre-order first Mattel Brick Shop sets ahead of release

Mattel Brick Shop is launching its first wave of buildable Hot Wheels sets this summer, and you can pre-order them right now in the UK.

After an official reveal earlier this month, pre-orders are open for the first seven Mattel Brick Shop products in the UK, ranging from the smallest at £21.99 to the largest at £136.99.

The most affordable range is the Hot Wheels Speed Series, made up of Maserati MC20, Custom 68 Camaro, and Cadillac Project GTP Hypercar. Each product ranges from 236 to 289 pieces, while also including additional wheel covers, licensed decals, and a matching 1:64 metal car for display and collection. The size and price puts in in the same region as LEGO Speed Champions.

Next up is the Hot Wheels Elite Series, with another trio of products: Corvette Grand Sport, Custom 62 Chevy Pickup, and ’90 Acura NSX. Moving up a price range and piece count, these products range from 858 pieces to 918, also featuring more extra parts, metal wheel covers, and licensed decals, as well as the same matching 1:64 metal car as the Speed series.

Last but not least, Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is the only product in the Hot Wheels Premium Series, made up of 1,600 pieces and recreating the car at 1:12 scale. Once again, you can expect extra metal wheel covers and licensed decals for customisation and the matching 1:64 metal car.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
