As part of the reported list of LEGO Star Wars builds for 2022, a duo of LEGO for Adults models are said to release in the first half of the year, recreating scenes from Dagobah and the Death Star on black bases, each labelled with an iconic quote.
If part of that formula sounds familiar, it’s because the LEGO Group has already released a pair of LEGO Star Wars sets aimed at an older audience, and placed on black bases with labels, but no quotes. Although the rumours haven’t been confirmed, we can’t help but wonder what lines 75294 Bespin Duel and 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber would include if they had received similar treatment when first released.
The former model launched in 2020 exclusively on the official online store in the US. With a recreation of a scene from The Empire Strikes Back made from 295 pieces for $39.99, there’s arguably no better quote than: “No, I am your father,” as said by Darth Vader to be placed on a tile for display.
The latter is based on The Empire Strikes back too, with 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber recreating the moment where Darth Vader showcased his full control over the force. As the Imperial Admiral reported his failure to the Sith Lord, Darth Vader responded: “You have failed me for the last time, Admiral,” as Admiral Ozzel struggled for breath in the wake of his force choke. Such an intimidating line would be a great choice for the set.
