LEGO Star Wars’ 2024 could be an amazing year for minifigures

2024 could be an incredible year for LEGO Star Wars minifigures as rumours are that multiple rare and otherwise expensive minifigures will return.

From familiar faces that have been featured in recent projects to minifigures that can fetch nearly as much as the sets they were featured in, various LEGO Star Wars 2024 rumours include reports of some enticing minifigures that could be about to make their grand return to the long-running theme.

With dozens of sets currently rumoured, keeping track of their minifigures can be a challenge so we’ve gathered the best rumoured minifigures into this list. We’ll include any minifigures that have only featured in one set, even though it was released recently too. Remember that all LEGO rumours should be taken with appropriate as the entire set or specific details may turn out to be inaccurate.

Captain Rex

Rumoured set: 75391 Captain Rex’s Y-wing Microfighter Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser Average Price on BrickLink: £105.90

Captain Rex from 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is rumoured to return in a much more affordable model later this year – 75391 Captain Rex’s Y-wing Microfighter for $12.99. This may sound too good to be true considering that the UCS model this minifigure is only otherwise included in was launched most recently.

Captain Antilles

Rumoured set: 75387 Tantive IV Hallway Number of sets they’re featured in: 2 Most recent set: 75244 Tantive IV Average Price on BrickLink: £35.23

75387 Tantive IV Hallway is rumoured to be the new home of Captain Antilles, who has only been included in the two other Tantive IV sets previously. While the newer minifigure might not fetch the highest price on BrickLink compared to Captain Rex, it’s still an undoubtedly rare minifigure.

Paz Vizsla

Rumoured set: 75386 Mandalorian Bunker Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge Average Price on BrickLink: £24.28

As part of a reported The Mandalorian set said to be coming, Paz Vizsla is rumoured to return after featuring in 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge. He’s another relatively recent addition to LEGO Star Wars but still rare and fetches a higher price than most minifigures on the secondary market.

Moff Gideon

Rumoured set: 75386 Mandalorian Bunker Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser Average Price on BrickLink: £44.52

Moff Gideon is rumoured to return to the minifigure world with some reported changes in 75386 Mandalorian Bunker too. The primary antagonist of The Mandalorian has only been included in 75315 Imperial Light Cruise which has now retired but rumour has it that another chance to pick up the villain will be coming this year.

Skiff Guard Lando

Rumoured set: 75396 Escape from the Sarlacc Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 9496 Desert Skiff Average Price on BrickLink: £55.01

Lando Calrissian in his Skiff Guard disguise is rumoured to come back as a minifigure in 2024 in 75396 Escape from the Sarlacc. Admittedly, the rumour only discloses that Lando could be included, but given the scene, it’s hard to imagine it being any other minifigure.

Captain Panaka

Rumoured set: 75383 Sith Infiltrator Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 7961 Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator Average Price on BrickLink: £10.02

Captain Panaka’s only minifigure isn’t overly expensive but since it’s only in one set, that makes it rare enough for this list. Collectors might want to keep an eye on the rumours for 75383 Sith Infiltrator as that set is reported to feature the character once more.

Jedi Bob

Rumoured set: 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 7163 Republic Gunship Average Price on BrickLink: £108.43

Jedi Bob, who was unnamed in 7163 Republic Gunship, is rumoured to return and embrace the fan-chosen name later this year. 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter is reportedly due at some point in 2024 featuring the familiar character with yellow skin. Longtime enthusiasts are more likely to recognise him on shelves than those newer to the theme, but it is the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars this year after all.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Rumoured set: 75385 Battle on Peridea Number of sets they’re featured in: 1 Most recent set: 75170 The Phantom Average Price on BrickLink: £114.59

After featuring in the first season of Star Wars: Ahsoka, 75385 Battle on Peridea is rumoured to be the new home of Grand Admiral Thrawn for $40 to $50. That’s considerably less than his current price on the secondary market. This is arguably the highlight of the list considering the character’s popularity, despite the rumours about Jedi Bob.
