Rumoured release dates for 2023 LEGO Ideas sets appear online

Three LEGO Ideas sets have possible release dates coming up in the second half of 2023, according to online rumoured.

As reported by exabrickslegogo_ via brickmerge.de on Instagram, the Hocus Pocus set could be on its way in July 2023. With a piece count of 2,316, it will hopefully include a similar amount of detail to the original LEGO Ideas submission. Selected in line with the sequel in the franchise that came out last year, Amber Veyt’s Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage was given the green light in July 2022. The rumoured release date is also in line with hints coming from LEGO Ideas designer James May, suggesting that it’s arriving at some point this year.

Two months later, another LEGO Ideas set, rumoured to be José María’s LEGO Insects, is believed to be on its way in September 2023. In keeping with the original design, this should be a smaller and more affordable entry to the LEGO Ideas theme, believed to be just 1,111 pieces. However, the price is still entirely unknown. The original colourful collection included a honey bee, praying mantis, butterfly and two beetles, but we’ll have to wait and see if this will remain true in its final release.

A third LEGO Ideas set is also rumoured to be on its way in 2023, this time in October. This is believed to be BrickHammer’s Viking Village, after being given a second chance through a public vote last summer. At 2,103 pieces, this set would be back to the usual size for the theme.

Of course, we can’t be sure any of these release dates are confirmed or which LEGO Ideas sets they refer to, until we get confirmation from the LEGO Group. Click here for a reminder of what LEGO Ideas sets are already in production.
