Six useful pieces in LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71046 Series 26

LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71046 Series 26 is full of useful pieces to expand and upgrade your displays from LEGO Star Wars to City.

When it launches on May 1, you may want to pick up more than one set of 71046 Series 26 as the latest LEGO Collectible Minifigures are rife with elements that you’ll be able to get plenty of use out of. Getting multiples of specific minifigures shouldn’t be too difficult with Brick Search as the data matrix codes are confirmed to be returning.

From a new hair piece to a surprisingly crucial upgrade to a rare LEGO Star Wars minifigures, here are six useful pieces in LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71046 Series 26.

6 – New hair

The early look at all 12 minifigures in 71046 Series 26 provided by RealADemin has X has confirmed that the antennae on the Mini aliens in minifigure suit’s hair can be detached to offer a new hairstyle for your minifigures. It’s similar to another element but with a more uniform and formal design that can fit a compatible accessory on top too.

5 – A new weapon

The Orion minifigure in 71046 Series 26 includes a new club weapon, currently only available as a transparent purple piece. As it stands, its use might be limited but in another colour, it could eventually be useful for LEGO warrior minifigures, including those for 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale.

4 – A robotic gripper

The new M-Tron minifigure has a robotic gripper piece that can be held by a minifigure’s hand that is itself attached to a transparent black element. It will be interesting to see how the online community utilises them in small and large-scale models. The gripper specifically could be useful for unique microscale ship designs.

3 – A Jet-Propulsion Backpack

You can soon upgrade any of your existing realistic LEGO City astronauts with an accurate Jet-Propulsion Backpack complete with a pair of studs to attach equipment to and clips for joysticks. Beyond LEGO astronauts, it could be useful for deep sea diver minifigures.

2 – Gonk droid legs

The Classic Robot’s conjoined legs might be a great replacement for the current brick-built Gonk droid legs for LEGO Star Wars displays, though it will add a fair bit of height to the current iteration of the droid.

1 – Better Coruscant Guard legs

Also great for upgrading LEGO Star Wars minifigures is another element from the M-Tron minifigure. The dual-moulded legs in red and white are perfect for the Coruscant Guard minifigures in 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship. Except for the red knee pad and some details on the sides, the dual-moulded nature should look better than the printed legs used for the official minifigures in every way.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
