The inspiration for the combination was 9516 Jabba’s Palace from 2012, with one of the goals being to achieve the domed roof effect that is missing from the 2022 creation. However, these gaps might be teasing future expansions. By taking curved elements from the tower and placing them at angles, a similar look can be included on the more recent model.
When it comes to interior changes, most of the YouTuber's focus was on expanding the main section of the throne room, adding additional space aside from the Rancor pit grate to accommodate more minifigures. "I think I somewhat recreated the look, there are definitely some off angles but from dead-on it's not the worst thing in the world, it's not the flat-roof Boba Fett's Thone Room anymore and I think that's something." commented MandRproductions on the combined build when placed directly next to 9516 Jabba's Palace.
