LEGO Star Wars army builders will benefit the most from LEGO Insiders

LEGO Star Wars army builders will reportedly benefit the most from LEGO Insiders with more points up for grabs than others will have.

LEGO Insiders is the renovated form of LEGO VIP and has introduced the ability to register sets by scanning them for a flat rate of 20 points per model. As you can read in our detailed guide to the renamed service, the QR codes that you scan on the instructions are unique to each individual copy of a set.

For LEGO Star Wars army builders, this can mean only one thing – a busy but profitable day in the future. As long as the build that you have many copies of to make your ideal army has a QR code on the front page – including 75359 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack – you can get 20 points per battle pack.

Using 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack as an example, DOM72616‘s army, the 10 sets used for this army will now net them 200 bonus LEGO Insiders points. That’s a quarter of the way to a £5 voucher in the UK.

The extent of this benefit will vary depending on how many battle packs, or other army-building sets you’ve collected, whether they have a QR code on the instructions and whether or not you’ve kept every copy of those instructions.

With 20 points per LEGO set rewarded, you’re going to need a lot of battle packs for a £5 voucher. To get another LEGO Star Wars Battle pack for free with vouchers, such as 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack, you’d need 160 instruction booklets in the UK, 132 in the US and 152 in Europe. Whether or not this is worth your time is another discussion.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
