Star Wars Celebration 2025 animation news may be worthwhile for LEGO fans

The Star Wars Celebration 2025 panel schedule has confirmed at least one reveal that might inspire dozens of LEGO Star Wars sets.

Late last night, the Star Wars team shared the panel schedule for the upcoming Star Wars Celebration 2025, which is taking place from April 18 to 20. These annual events usually include plenty of Star Wars reveals, and this year, we can expect announcements for The Mandalorian & Grogu, Andor Season 2, a new Star Wars turn-based tactics game and Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.

These confirmed announcements are all teased in the descriptions for the panels, and there’s one more that you shouldn’t overlook. While the turn-based tactics game and Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 are unlikely to inspire any new LEGO Star Wars sets, the Lucasfilm Animation panel is confirmed to feature a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Lucasfilm Animation’s slate of Star Wars projects includes Rebels, The Clone Wars, Resistance, The Bad Batch, Young Jedi Adventures and Star Wars: Tales. Five of those six projects have inspired multiple LEGO Star Wars models, and only Young Jedi Adventures is ongoing.

It seems likely that this teased announcement will be for something entirely new from Lucasfilm Animation since the third batch of Young Jedi Adventures episodes is only four days away. Whatever is being announced at the April 18 panel, it will be worth keeping an eye on for any tie-in LEGO Star Wars models in the future.

The Clone Wars has been especially popular in the LEGO Star Wars, even including the new-for-2025 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor despite Season 7’s end in 2020. Other series have inspired at least two models aside from Rebels, which has 13 tie-in sets.

Stay tuned for any announcements from Star Wars Celebration in Japan next month as reveals are confirmed for the next Star Wars movie – The Mandalorian & Grogu – after a recent announcement.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
