It’s time to meet The Muppets in new LEGO Ideas project

It’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights as a Muppets LEGO Ideas project has soared quickly into the second 2023 review.

Quickly reaching 10,000 supporters after it was uploaded just two days ago on May 18, 2023, the fan designer behind both 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures and the upcoming Family Tree model. Ivan Guerrero is now proposing a recreation of The Muppet Theatre with backstage sections included.

This would follow The Muppets Collectible Minifigures released in 2022, many of the pieces could be repurposed as suggested in this project.

Proposed minifigures include Kermit the Frog, Firstmate Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Statler, Waldorf, the Swedish Chef, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, and Gonzo. Buildable characters are also suggested to help fill out the cast without increasing the minifigure count to a potentially unreasonable level for a LEGO Ideas set.

Provided this project doesn’t make it as a real LEGO Ideas set, a retiring LEGO Friends set works great at depicting part of the stage in the meantime.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
