LEGO Ideas 21357 Luxo Jr. works incredibly well as a LEGO set, with clever use of LEGO bricks that make it look just like the real thing.

21357 Luxo Jr. is based on a mechanical lamp that translates perfectly into a brick-built model, with exposed studs and perfectly adapted LEGO pieces that look just like the parts of the real lamp. However, it’s not just the look and feel of the set that make it work so well: there’s a lot of history behind the little lamp.

The reason why the Luxo lamp became the Pixar symbol is also part of the reason why it works so well as a LEGO set.
