LEGO Overwatch may be a retailer exclusive theme in the UK
In news that will frustrate fans, Brick Fanatics has received word that LEGO Overwatch will only be available at one select retail chain in the UK.
LEGO Overwatch will be one of the new themes introduced by the LEGO Group in 2019, as the company seeks to appeal to avid gamers. Brick Fanatics understands that in the UK, the theme will only be available to buy at one specific retailer, in the same way that Unikitty! has been exclusive to Tesco and the final year of NEXO KNIGHTS was exclusive to John Lewis.
This will not make the theme impossible for UK fans to get, as retailer exclusives are typically shared with shop.LEGO.com and LEGO Stores, but it does limit the shopping options that collectors will have.
The theme was teased again yesterday on the official Overwatch Facebook page. The Overwatch Fan Festival begins later today, which is when the first product reveals are expected.
Brick Fanatics understands that the theme will launch with six traditional minifigure sets, along with a supporting range of minifigure focused packs with key accessories. The LEGO theme is likely to launch shortly ahead of a new Overwatch TV show on Netflix.
LEGO Overwatch is expected to launch in 2019.
