LEGO replica unveiled at the Winchester Mystery House
The Winchester Mystery House hosted the launch of a miniature LEGO model of the iconic mansion.
Located in San Jose, California, the Winchester Mystery House is the famously confusing location that was the home of Sarah Winchester, widow of the firearm inventor William Winchester. A LEGO replica of the iconic location has been unveiled in front of the house, capturing all of the quirks found in the real building.
The detailed model will be added to Miniland at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Bay Area along with other local landmarks. It will open on April 2, with early preview tickets available to buy now. Attractions at the child-focused destination will include an indoor playground, brick demonstrations and rides.
In the Winchester House replica, there are 7,500 pieces. It took around 200 hours to design and put together, with the finished builder featuring a Pepper’s Ghost effect.
The Winchester Mystery House featured in the 2018 film Winchester, which focused on the paranormal side of Sarah Winchester’s story. She became convinced that she was being haunted and that continuously building the house would protect her.
Tickets to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Bay Area are available from the venue’s website, with tickets to the Winchester Mystery House available from the official website.
