The LEGO Group cancels meetings with employees working from home
In Denmark and around the world, the LEGO Group is moving to online meetings wherever possible as many employees work from home.
The LEGO Group has closed the offices in Denmark as employees work from home, with many members of staff working from home around the world. Online meetings are taking the place of physical meetings wherever possible.
This has led to a pause in certain initiatives from the AFOL Engagement Team (AFOLET), including enhancements to AFOL Shopping Days. This also means that representatives from the team will not be attending large RLUG (Recognised LEGO User Group) events, where they are still going ahead.
In a message on the LEGO Ambassador Network, the AFOLET team has also noted that it is likely that further events will be cancelled in the coming months and has encouraged everyone to stay safe.
The LEGO House is closed for the whole of March.
In the UK, the LEGO Group has advised retailers to remove play tables and loose bricks from stores. LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has opened for the 2020 season, with theme park assuring guests that ‘enhanced cleaning regimes’ have been put in place.
