Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse villain to carry over to third film

There’s a brand-new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer coming tomorrow and director Kemp Powers has revealed more villain details. 

Director of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Kemp Powers has confirmed that The Spot will not only be the main enemy for the sequel but for Beyond the Spider-Verse too. 

“The Spot is an interesting villain because he seems like a joke, but when you really look at his powers, there’s incredible potential,” explains Powers to TotalFilm.  

“His ability to open portals across dimensions sets him up perfectly for the Spider-Verse. He’s the villain of the next two films and let’s just say that The Spot and Miles are connected in surprising ways.” 

As stated in our initial report, the first Spider-Verse movie had a palpable effect on the LEGO Marvel waves that followed it, even though there were no dedicated sets for the film. 

These comments from the director arrived alongside confirmation of when the incoming trailer will release. You can watch it on December 13 at 9:00am PST (about 5:00pm GMT), according to the report, with the film opening on June 2, 2023
