Building LEGO Harry Potter 75955 Hogwarts Express at Hamleys

Brick Fanatics visits Hamleys to sit down and build LEGO Harry Potter 75955 Hogwarts Express

Arriving back at school for the new term is best done via steam engine, as Harry Potter and his friends do each year when they board the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9¾. Such a beloved piece of Potter lore could not be left out of the returning LEGO Harry Potter theme, with the distinctive red train back in the brick.

The top floor of Hamleys has a dedicated LEGO section, with incredible oversized elements making it an immersive place to shop for LEGO sets – or do some building. With London’s most famous toy store naming 75955 Hogwarts Express as the must-have LEGO set for Christmas 2018, the only thing to do is have Brick Fanatics Editor Graham Hancock open up the box and put the set together…

Surrounded by the oversized LEGO props in the recently renovated LEGO section is the perfect place to be putting together this wizarding set. As well as the train itself, the set builds a section of Platform 9¾ and the sweet trolley.

The Hamleys Royal Guard minifigure watches over the process. To start, the platform is assembled, before the engine comes together, followed by the assembling of the carriage. Details in the model include a hidden brick wall entrance, Daily Prophet newspapers and a Wanted poster. With Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Remus Lupin, the Trolley Witch and Dementor minifigures included, there is plenty packed into 75955 Hogwarts Express.

Hamleys is stocking the full range of LEGO Harry Potter minifigure scale and BrickHeadz sets.
