Dino-driven LEGO Ideas contest starts with Jurassic Park prizes
LEGO Ideas’ latest challenge is now live, inviting users to reimagine prehistoric concepts with a contemporary or modern twist.
Following the start of the basketball mascot contest last week, the LEGO Ideas team have just launched Prehistory 2.0 – the newest challenge on the platform. It’s one of the more creative briefs they’ve ever conceived, tasking users with building something prehistoric and giving it a modern, contemporary twist.
That means dinosaurs on skateboards, using phones and anything else that fits into the unusual brief. Builds must be new and not previously shared online or submitted elsewhere, and they cannot use brick-built or moulded dinosaurs / creatures from any existing LEGO sets. Submissions should also avoid any IP, including Jurassic World and Jurassic Park.

Speaking of Jurassic World and Park, models from the IP are part of the grand prize package, of which five will be given to winners selected by a board of judges. Models in the package include the new 77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler and 77985 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops, as well as 31379 Fierce Dinosaur and 21362 Mineral Collection.
Head to the contest page to submit your entries before June 10. The winners will be announced on July 9.
