Doctor Strange star gets hands-on with her LEGO Marvel set and minifigure

A Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Star has recently built 76205 Gargantos Showdown, including their first LEGO Marvel minifigure.

As revealed in the first trailer for the upcoming film, Xochitl Gomez will portray America Chavez alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as one of the newest characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Only one LEGO set has been confirmed for the movie, and 76205 Gargantos Showdown is available now. Gomez has acquired the model and took to TikTok to share a timelapse of her building it, pointing out her minifigure as she does.

The actor seems pleased with her brick-built interpretation and shared in the comments that she believes the rainbow tile featured as an accessory represents a pride pin badge, an item that has appeared on other Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness merchandise.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will release on May 8, with the initial trailer for the movie revealing which scene the set is based on.

You can find 76205 Gargantos Showdown on the official online store now for £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 and it includes minifigures for Doctor Strange, Wong, America Chavez as well as a build for the tentacled Gargantos. Currently, the model is scheduled to retire at the end of the year.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
