Every major announcement from day one of Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025
Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 is in full swing, so here’s what you need to know if you’re a Star Wars fan – and how it could relate to LEGO.
The annual celebration of all things Star Wars is underway in Japan, with one day of the three-day event down. Lucasfilm and various other companies that work with the Star Wars franchise use this event as the opportunity to outline future TV shows, films, and other products, so we’ve rounded up all the biggest headlines in one place.

The Mandalorian & Grogu updates
Dave Filoni and Kathleen Kennedy took to the stage to first highlight Shawn Levy’s movie, before turning to The Mandalorian & Grogu. They welcomed stars of the movie, Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, to the stage, along with Grogu himself. Audiences got to see some pictures from production of the movie, as well as two minutes of footage for those in attendance only.
The scenes included Din Djarin blasting his way through the cockpit of a walker, a one-minute teaser featuring Zeb and Grogu swimming, and a final shot of what is assumed to be Rotta the Hutt, from the back. The movie’s release date was confirmed to be May 22, 2026.
New trailer for Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune

Star Wars: Outlaws’ second story pack, A Pirate’s Fortune, had a sneak peek debuted, teasing the new story line where Kay Vess and Nix team up with the legendary Hondo Ohnaka on a journey that picks up after the completion of the main storyline in the base game.
Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune will be automatically accessible and free to Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass owners or available for separate purchase for a suggested retail price of $14.99. With the release of Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune, Ultimate and Deluxe Edition owners also receive the Naboo Nobility and Desert Nomad cosmetic packs.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 3 confirmed

A third season of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures has been confirmed, perhaps bringing more cartoon-style LEGO Star Wars sets for younger builders along with then. As well as returning characters, season 3 will also introduce Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi, a trio of droids who join the animated heroes on their missions.
Light & Magic season 2 revealed

Star Wars voice artist Sam Witwer hosted a live discussion at Star Wars Celebration Japan with Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best and other executives from across Disney to celebrate the release of a new season of the documentary series, Light & Magic, from Lucasfilm and Imagine Entertainment. The show dives into the history of visual effects and how they’re used in some of the most iconic TV shows and movies out there, and is available to watch now on Disney+.
