Fans are hoping a LEGO Ted Lasso AFC Richmond Stadium becomes a reality

A LEGO AFC Richmond Stadium build featured in a recent episode of Ted Lasso is making fans ask for the set to become a reality.

The third season of the immensely popular and award-winning Ted Lasso returned to Apple TV+ last week. The show features a wide-eyed and optimistic American sports coach (played by Jason Sudeikis) who’s recruited to train the struggling London-based football team, AFC Richmond, with hilarious and often inspiring results.

The Season 3 premiere opened with Ted taking his young son to the airport after the pair had spent some quality play time together. With Henry safely on board a return flight to his native Kansas, Ted headed home to clean up the mess in his flat, which included an impressive brick-built recreation of Nelson Road Stadium, the home of the fictional AFC Richmond. The model looked to be packed with plenty of details and included custom minifigures of Ted, Coach Beard, Roy Kent and even Nate, who’d left to coach West Ham at the end of Season 2.

The LEGO stadium appears to have been created specifically for the show (although it’s not clear by whom), but that hasn’t stopped some fans wishing it was a reality. Summer Peters took to Twitter to say, “I need that Ted Lasso LEGO set right now!!! Make it happen LEGO Group.” Darth Ramious commented, “When LEGO Group, WHEN?!,” with a picture of the set’s custom Ted and Rebecca minifigures and Gary Lamb stated, “Hi LEGO Group & LEGO Ideas just wondering when the Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond set will be available. Thanks.”

Whilst there’s currently no indication that the LEGO Group has any potential plans to release sets based on Ted Lasso or the home of The Greyhounds, it has produced a number of officially-licensed football stadium models over the years. Those have included 10272 Old Trafford – Manchester United, 10284 Camp Nou – FC Barcelona and 10299 Real Madrid – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Ted Lasso Season 3 is currently streaming on Apple TV+ for all subscribers, with new episodes dropping each Wednesday.
