First look at LEGO Marvel What If…? 76194 Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man

The first review of LEGO Marvel What If…? 76194 Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man is already online ahead of its August release, offering a closer look at its trio of exclusive minifigures.

YouTuber Ashnflash has secured an early copy of the Disney+ set from the same Canadian retailer that’s also already started selling this summer’s LEGO Star Wars sets, almost two weeks before their wide release at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores.

He’s now uploaded an early review of 76194 Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man to his channel, giving us a glimpse at what to expect from the colourful Hulkbuster-style mech and its Tony Stark, Valkyrie and The Watcher minifigures – all of which are based on a What If…? episode that will imagine a universe where Tony Stark landed on Sakaar instead of Thor.

“I know you’re probably tired; it’s another Iron Man, it’s another Hulkbuster,” Ashnflash says, acknowledging the similarity between 76194 Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man and plenty of other Marvel mechs (including this summer’s 76201 Captain Carter & The Hydra Stomper). “But the design of this and the functionality of it is just phenomenal, [and] the figures in here are really great as well.”

That sounds pretty promising for what looks like – at least on paper – simply another instalment in an increasingly long list of Hulkbuster-style sets. You’ll be able to find out for yourself when 76194 Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man launches on August 1.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
